Jagran Lakecity University (JLU), central India’s Global University, is celebrating its 8 years of establishment on 24th April 2021. JLU was established in 2013 with the vision to cultivate creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among the leaders of tomorrow. This twin campus university based at the heart of India in Bhopal has established many benchmarks in central India for Higher Education.

 

In less than a decade, this private university established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956, has become one of the fastest growing and one of the most awarded universities of Central India having practice-based pedagogy at its core. The University has been awarded the QS IGauge E-Learning Excellence for Academic Digitization (E-Lead) Certification 2020, India Today. The University has been bestowed with several prestigious awards, such as ‘University of the Year’ by Government of Madhya Pradesh for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019 and is recognized as a Global League Institution in 2015 at the House of Commons, London, UK.
The Foundation Day of JLU is being celebrated with the theme of ‘Educating with a Vision’. A series of high spirited, virtual events were held for the occasion by the students, staff, and even alumni. JLU is connected very strongly with various industry experts and Thought Leaders, many of who, sent their best wishes and regards. Some of the world-renowned personalities were, Nirav Khambati, Partner-Kaizen Private Equity, Prof. Col. Shishir Kumar, Director general- ImagineXP, BhavinShah,CEO-Education World, Alpana Chaturvedi,CEO-My Logistics Gurukul, Bhaskar Ranjan Das, Associate Director-AICPA and CIMA, Jaideep Gupta, Founder, and CEO-Univariety, Mr. Kunal Sinha, Strategy and Foresights consultant, Principal Consultant -WARC Advisory, Hal Serudin, Divisional Corporate Communication Manager- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars(Asia Pacific &Singapore). They appreciated JLU for its achievements in academia over the years and expressed a deep desire to revisit the campus and be a part of the festivities.
In the past 8 years, JLU has made and maintained partnerships with 40+ leading businesses and universities from all over the world. The testament of it is the recently established, JagranWizcraft MIME school of Entertainment and Events; the first entertainment and events school of central India. Talking of firsts, JLU is also launching central India’s first Liberal Arts school in the month of April.
JLU has maintained a marvelous balance between academics and extracurricular activities. It is a university that has hosted and continues to host, national level Moot Court competitions, International Knowledge Series, Sunburn Music Festival, Football League, Photography competitions and much more, all in this short duration. The university is also the country chair for the Association of Universities of Asia Pacific (AUAP).

Hari Mohan Gupta, Chancellor of JLU attributed the success and accomplishments so far to the members of faculty and the students, he added “In the present scenario, keeping in mind the pandemic, faculty members didn’t fail to make JLU proud with their constant efforts towards accomplishments and achievements. The JLU family is blessed to have educators who are not only scholars and professionals in their field but have always strived for growth and improvement, to bring JLU where it is today. This success if not by chance, is a combined effort of all the individuals associated with us, and I want to congratulate them from the depth of my heart.”

 

In the planned series of events, JLU Alumni Relations Team also hosted the ‘FOUNDATION DAY SPECIAL’ episode of the exciting JLU ALUMNI SPEAKS series. A talk show-themed virtual event in which the exemplary alumni of JLU were interviewed about their life and journey after graduation.This 5th episode featured four alumni from the earliest batches of JLU. The event went live on the Youtube page of JLU on 24th April at 5 pm.  Prof Dr.VivekKhare, Registrar, Jagran Lakecity University, moderated the show.  

 

Learning never stops at JLU and this has been marvelously showcased by the university in the last year. From Blended learning to the adoption of the convenient ERP system, Colpoll, JLU has shown time after time that it is on a mission to produce exceptional professionals with the necessary expertise, skills, and character, as well as a dedication to ethics, human values, and social welfare.

The admissions for the academic session 2021-22 are now open and JLU is currently offering 56-degree programs to over 2500 students from eight countries and 27 Indian states. JLU presents the students with a world of opportunities and extensive academic resources that match their passion. The state of the art learning facilities gives the opportunities to grow professionally with skills that are interdisciplinary, global and make the students’ industry-ready. According to JLU it is the right place to fulfil aspirations of the future professionals and this year’s admission campaign #JLUforAspirations is on a full swing.
