Filing for intellectual property rights not only helps innovators protect their invention, but also provides better collaboration and funding opportunities.
Keeping the same motive in the forefront, JLU-School of Engineering and Technology organized a National Seminar (Online) on “Intellectual Property Rights – Patent Searching and Filling” on 12th June, 2021.
The event was organized in collaboration with BLI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd, Maharashtraand under the umbrella of JLU-Institution Innovation Council (JLU-IIC). Several participants from different colleges and universities around the country participated in this seminar.
The event formally began with inaugural ceremony. To grace the occasion our expert speakers Adv. Swapnil Jayantrao Gawande, Founder, BLI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Adv. Ashutosh Swarnkar, Director, BLI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Khare, Registrar, JLU & Dean, Faculty of Applied Science & Technology were present. Dr.Dileep Kumar Singh, Head, JLU-School of Engineering and Technology formally welcomed all the dignitaries.
The inaugural ceremony was followed by two impactful sessions where Adv. Swapnil Jayantrao Gawande, Founder, BLI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. talked about all the important concepts of IPR.
The first session was based on the theme “Various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs)” where Adv. Swapnil discussed about significance of trademark, copyright and patents in protecting the intellectual properties. He also mentioned various parameters which play important roles in filling the patent.
The second session was themed as “Hands-on training on Patent Searching and Filling”. It was focused on skills required to conduct patent search and analysis. The expert speaker also mentioned various practical insights into specific types of patent searching & filling. At the end of both the sessions, the speaker also resolved all the query of the audiences interestingly.
In valedictory session, Dr. Dileep Kumar Singh, Head, JLU-School of Engineering and Technology expressed his gratitude towards collaborator, expert speakers and whole organizing committee of the event. He also conveyed his sincere thanks to all the participants for their active participation throughout the event.
Overall the program ended by creating a significant impact on the participants and they gained a lot of knowledge from each of the session of the seminar.
