It is a proud moment for Jagran LakecityUniversity as a team of students from JLU-School of Engineering & Technology and Jagran School of Commerce and Economics has secured a position in the 127 finalist of National Innovation Contest 2020. This contest was an initiative of Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, New Delhi.

It was really an exciting journey for the team to traverse from 9000 plus prototypes scouted from more than 900 Institution Innovation Council (IIC) institutions across India and getting 1400 odd best prototypes nominations from Institutes for further evaluation and support. After multiple rounds of evaluation, mentoring and training, finally 410 reached a level of development of business plan for their innovations. Taking the Weighted average scores from both rounds, 127 finalists including the JLU team got selected.

The finalists will receive further training on Startup modeling and finance proposal development and their proposals will be assessed for funding support and for facilitating incubation linkage by MIC. The team comprising of three students from B.Tech CSE- VIII Semester, JLU School of Engineering and Technology and one student of JLU School of Commerce and Economics took part in the second stage of evaluation in the competition.

We congratulate all for this achievement. It is really incredible to see the development of our students’ innovations right from the stage of ideation, prototyping and business plan preparation.
