An engineer is considered to be the one who creates the world which has never been.
And for all those outstanding engineers, an Engineers Day is celebrated in India on September 15th every year as a tribute to India’s greatest engineer and Bharat Ratna, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
To commemorate his birth anniversary JLU-School of Engineering and Technology witnessed a one day event on the occasion of Engineers Day. An exert talk and poster presentation competition were held through virtual mode under this one day’s event. Several participants from school, colleges and universities around the country participated in these activities.
The event formally began with inaugural ceremony. To grace the occasion, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Dr.) Sandeep Shastri, Respected Registrar & Dean- Faculty of Applied Science and Technology JLU Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Khare, Associate Dean- Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology JLU Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Gupta, and Guest Speaker Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Prakash Saxena (Ex-Vice-Chancellor, Jiwaji University, Gwalior) were present. . Dr. Dileep Kumar Singh, Head, JLU-School of Engineering and Technology formally welcomed all the dignitaries.Prof. (Dr.) Shastri remembered M Visvesvaraya for his various remarkable contributions to the field of engineering and being a nation-builder. He conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to all engineers who have made invaluable contributions in the progress of the country.
During the expert talk, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Prakash Saxena, delivered his session on the topic “Mathematical modeling in Engineering & Science”. In this session he talked about the ancient and latest mathematical models & computer methods for scientific and engineering problems.
Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Gupta, Associate Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology JLU, expressed his gratitude towards all the dignitaries to grace the occasion.
The inaugural ceremony and expert talk were followed by a fantastic poster competition in which various participants from school level to college level showcased their talent through their art. The posters were based on various pre-defined themes related to engineering.
Top twelve posters were shortlisted for presentation where panelists asked the participants about the message hidden in their posters. The winner of the poster competition was Eshal Minhaj from JLU-School of Engineering and Technology. The second and third positions in this competition were secured by Vidit Bhattacharya from Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal and Diksha Shirke from JLU-School of Engineering and Technology, Bhopal respectively.
The top three winners won Amazon vouchers along with rank certificates. The participants with fourth and fifth rank got rank certificates.
In valedictory session, Dr. Dileep Kumar Singh, Head, JLU-School of Engineering and Technology congratulated to all the winners and participants for their active participation in Poster Presentation Competition.
Overall the program ended by creating a significant impact on the participants and they enjoyed each of the activity of the event.
